Kiara brings over 15 years of professional experience with families to enhance the quality of life for their loved ones with intellectual and developmental disabilities by integrating into the community through all appropriate means. A strong advocate whose mission is to provide a collaborative approach to effective advocacy that guides and empowers parents. She has worked with private organizations, school systems, and agencies with multiple disabilities. Her strengths are to find equal treatment and community services for all individuals through volunteering for various agencies and schools. Kiara is a proud mother of a twice skipped scholar and a pillar within the community. She remains committed to finding avenues for open dialogue and comprehensive services for individuals with special needs.
Tiffany Sorrells is the COO and co-founder of Trinity Hills of Georgia, an organization supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing a safe, secure, and positive environment to become productive participants in society. As an educator, Tiffany has over seven years of public education experience as a classroom teacher, curriculum specialist, and learning facilitator. She has a Specialist's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Piedmont College, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Benedict College. Her educational background has allowed her to work in areas to help develop students' academic, social, and language skills. With her experience in education, she has worked with children with various diagnoses, including Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, and developmental Delays. She strives to create a community of learners to nurture their growth in a positive learning environment and structure a caring and supportive atmosphere that will help them succeed. Her mission as an educator is to advocate for families, equipping them with the expertise and trust they need to manage the educational process to receive support for their children. Tiffany aspires to invest her time to assist families in achieving goals set for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to maximize their full potential in living rewarding lives.
